I have Max 2016 installed.I did a new install of Max 2017. Then I installed the 2017.0.1 Security Fix. I did not previously install any of the SP's. In the Max 2017 helpabout it shows I have version 19.0 installed.In the Autodesk Desktop App it only shows 3DS Max 2017 (and character generator and rendering in A360 neither of which I use). It has the button 'Manage' available. There is no Max 2016 shown.
If I click the 2017 manage button it seems to launch an install. An agreement form appears, I select 'I accept and then click next. An install window opens but the Browse and Install buttons are both grayed out.Does the 2017.0.1 Contain all of the previous SP's or do I need to install them? Do I have the most current Max 2017 installed? Windows 10 login screen no account picture. I can't tell.2016 still opens but why is it not shown as one of my products in the Autodesk Desktop App? The problem here is that there are two versions, one for folks on SP3, and one for folks that are on update1. Non-subscription users won't be able to install Update1 so they need the version that updates to or from SP3. It couldn't be more confusing for this year I agree, but next year since we won't have SP's at all it should be easier to follow.Non subscription users cannot install Update 1. (note Sp3 is included.)Subscription users will install 1.1 SF fix which includes SP3 and Update 1 in it.
